1035 South Montezuma Canyon Rd.
Monticello, UT 84535
FROM ARIZONA OR SOUTHERN UTAH:
Drive north from Blanding, Utah on 191 (about 19 miles) until just past the Bull Hollow Raceway entrance, which is on the left. There is a right hand turn, across a cattle guard, onto Montezuma Canyon Road, (this turn is exactly 5 miles south of the Monticello, UT traffic light if you are coming from the north). Continue on the graded road for exactly 10 miles, (the first 5 get you to the canyon floor, then 5 more on the flats). At about mile 8 you will pass a house built into a cave on the right — the Houghtons, our wonderful friends and neighbors. At about mile 9 you will pass another beautiful cave home, built into the red sandstone cliff on the right. Keep going another mile. When you cross cattle guard #9 you are on our property – you’ll see the orchards, and the vineyards. The main house is the Santa Fe style home on the left.
The road is always in pretty good to great shape, and is passable for all sized and types of vehicles, including moving vans (go very show on the S curves down into the canyon!)
FROM NORTHERN UTAH:
From I-70 in Eastern Utah take US 191 South from Crescent Junction to Moab. Keep going south through Moab on US 191, another 55 miles to Monticello. From Monticello’s only stoplight, on the intersection of Hwy 191 and 491, keep going south on 191 for exactly 5 miles, then turn left onto the graded road, and follow the instructions above.
